- If you are an Airtel customer who wants to switch to Jio, follow these easy steps to port your number.
- To start moving your SIM card from Airtel to the Jio network, send an SMS to 1900 from the Airtel number you want to move to Jio with the word “PORTspace>your 10-digit mobile number>.”
- In a while, your current network provider will send you an SMS with the UPC and information about when it will expire.
- Go to the app store and get the MyJio app. Open the app and make a coupon code for Jio.
- Bring your smartphone, UPC, and Jio discount code to any Reliance Jio/Digital/Dx mini retail shop near you.
- You have to show proof of your address, like an Aadhaar card. If your local address isn’t on your Aadhaar card, you must bring another legal proof of address. You will also need to show a valid proof of name. Also, get two photos that are the size of a visa.
- If you ask, the Reliance or Jio store staff will use the eKYC process to turn on your Jio link.
- If you have a prepaid plan with Airtel, you must pay off all your bills with Airtel before you can start the moving process.
- You can move your Airtel phone number to the Jio network within seven working days. You can still use Airtel’s services during this transition time without any problems. When the switching is done correctly, you will get a message telling you that the new network will cover you.
