Dates, Eligibility, and HPCET 2024 Application Form For admission to undergraduate and graduate programmes, HP Technical University has announced the Common Entrance Test for 2024. Apply now for HPCET 2024 – Himachal Pradesh Technical University will hold HPCET 2024 (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) for admissions to various undergraduate and post-undergraduate programmes like B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda), M.Pharmacy, MCA, and MBA in the affiliated colleges and universities as well as off-campus locations.
HPCET Application Form
Subject to meeting the requirements for the minimum educational qualification, admission to all courses will be granted based on merit, rank, or marks acquired in the National Level Entrance Test, HPCET-2024.
HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Undergraduate courses:
B.Tech: applicants must have obtained at least 45% overall (or 40% for applicants from the reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical Vocational Subjects from a recognised board in order to be considered for this degree.
B.Pharma: Those who have passed their class 12th exam or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical Vocational subjects with at least 45% marks (40% for applicants from the reserved category) in the sum of these courses are eligible. Candidates in the running may also apply. As of December 2024, the candidates’ minimum age shall be 17.
B.Pharma (Ayurveda): those must pass their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and receive a minimum cumulative score of 45% (40% for those from the reserved category) in these disciplines.
Courses for postgraduates:
M.Tech. : A passing grade of no less than 50% overall (45% for students from the restricted category) in the relevant BE/ B.Tech programme from an accredited university is necessary.
Candidates for the M.Pharma programme must have a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or an equivalent degree from an institution of higher education that is recognised, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50% (45% for candidates from the reserved category).
MBA: Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in any track with a minimum of 50% (45% for applicants from underrepresented groups).
MCA: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50% (45% for students from underrepresented groups). It’s also required to take mathematics at the 10+2 level.
Application fee:
- For B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Pharma (Ayurveda), MBA, MCA, M.Tech and M.Pharma: Rs. 1550/- for general candidates and Rs. 1400/- for SC/ ST/ BPL candidates
- For B.Pharma & B.Pharma (Ayurveda) both or B.Tech & B.Pharma both: Rs. 3100/- for general candidates and Rs. 2800/- for SC/ ST/ BPL candidates

HPCET 2024 Application Form
- On the official website www.himtu.ac.in, the HPCET online application form will be made available in March 2024.
- The applicants must complete out the application form with their fundamental biographical and educational information.
- Additionally, candidates will need to scan and attach their photo and signature to the application.
- A fully completed application form and the necessary application fee can be submitted online.
- Payment for the application fee may be made online using net banking, with a debit or credit card, or offline with a PNB Challan.
- The payment information should be provided into the application form if the fee is being paid by challan.
- The candidates should print out their finished form after submitting it so they have a copy for their records.
